Heritage Christian School - Educating, Nurturing, Empowering

Enrolment

Heritage Christian School is designed to serve the education needs of Christian and other interested families in the Hastings region. It was established in 1983 in response to a growing desire for access to Christian education, taught by Christian teachers in partnership with the parents of children.

The school aims to support parents, in their role as primary role model and educator to their children, by teaching the Biblical values they are teaching at home. We welcome enrolment applications for children with a broad range of learning abilities, physical development and social backgrounds.

In all areas – including academic, sporting, cultural and technological - students are encouraged to do their best with their God-given gifts and talents.

Heritage Christian School values all children regardless of merit in any field of endeavour. The school has Gifted and Talented as well as Special Education programmes and the interaction of children with exceptional talent and those with learning difficulties is encouraged at the school.

The school’s enrolment guidelines are available from the school office. Key aspects of the guidelines are:

  • HCS aims to serve local Christian families
  • HCS seeks to enrol siblings where possible
  • HCS strives to show compassion and justice
  • HCS honours the commitment shown by families to other Christian schools
  • HCS demonstrates procedural fairness
  • HCS aims for expeditious enrolment procedures

Contact Venessa Dures at the school on 6583 8277 to arrange an enrolment interview.

BIBLE PASSAGE

Untitled Document 2 Corinthians 4:5-6 "For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."
