Homework

Students at Heritage are expected to do a regular amount of homework throughout the year. Obviously the amount may vary from time to time. Homework is necessary for students so that:

Homework
  • Work done at school is reinforced at home.
  • Parents can view the type of work their children are producing at school and the topics being taught.
  • Homework on a regular basis provides good training and stable habits for future education and study.
  • The joy of school and learning can be encouraged by parental interaction.
  • Completion of a task is a rewarding and encouraging experience.

Homework should be enjoyable with clear guidelines and understanding. A regular time and place should be set for younger children.

TESTIMONIALS

Untitled Document "Both my kids really love school. Once when they were asked why they love it, my daughter said “because they (the staff and teachers) love God”. I think it is great that my children can walk away from their school each day with that realisation,"
Colin Lowe.

BIBLE PASSAGE

Untitled Document 2 Corinthians 4:5-6 "For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."
