Our Future
Heritage Christian School is built on a strong Biblical foundation that has guided the development of the school through the past 25 years and will continue to do so into the future.
In line with this foundation the school is developing an innovative educational program driven by a strengths-based philosophy.
To support this dynamic program, exisiting facilities are being modified and new facilities will be constructed.
Heritage is developing from 2009 towards offering:
- multi-age K-5 classes using a team teaching approach where the developmental diversity of the students is celebrated, is valued as part of a natural community of learners, and is harnessed in subtle ways to support learning;
- a relationship based Years 6-7;
- a service-oriented Years 8-9;
- a future focused eLearning environment, enhancing independent and collaborative learning, for Years 10-12 with the aim that a student will after Year 12 be well equipped for life beyond school, whether undertaking further study or entering the world of work;
- an Innovative Learning Centre (Learning Innovations), which amongst other things is offering the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL); seminars to students and the wider community; camping and other facilities to visiting schools.
